Here's a summary of responsibilities: Team USA seeking a curious, motivated, and analytical Assoc. Data Analyst to support our growing need for data-driven decision-making across strategy, operations, and innovation. In this role, you’ll be advancing data integrity, modernizing data integration and building a data-informed culture across departments at the USOPC. As an associate data analyst, you will collaborate with key leaders to deliver actionable insights, enhance reporting capabilities, and contribute to innovation initiatives that directly impact our mission. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a broad interest in analytics, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for the Olympic & Paralympic Movement. Here’s how you’ll have an impact: Data Integrity • Support ongoing data cleansing and validation for master data management process • Build, implement, maintain and monitor automated audit reports to identify and correct data inconsistencies across systems • Assist with the implementation of quality control measures and data verification protocols • Audit existing data sets for consistency, completeness, and accuracy Data Governance • Contribute to the documentation of key metrics, definitions, and logic in support of the organization's data catalog and warehouse • Align governance practices with evolving strategic objectives • Create, maintain, and promote data standards, naming conventions, and best practices across the organization • Participate in stewardship initiatives to enhance transparency and trust in organizational data Data Collection & Integration • Aggregate, clean, and implement new data sources with accuracy and in compliance with set standards • Aid in historic data migration during system transitions and ensure accuracy across timelines • Support the extraction and organization of spreadsheet-based data for integration into modern platforms and automated reporting pipelines • Data set creation, formatting, and merging for analysis or dashboarding • Assist with system-level integration of cloud-based and on-premises data sources under guidance Data Education & Consulting • Participate in Data Office Hours to field and address ad hoc requests from departments • Build and implement educational resources and training tools to educate the wider data community and facilitate end-user capability and understanding • Foster a culture of data literacy by leading short workshops, demos, or collaborative knowledge-sharing sessions • Translate business questions into data queries and deliver clear, concise findings • Create visualizations and reports that communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders • Other duties as assigned Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective: • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field • 1-3 years in data management, data visualization, or data analysis • Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI) preferred • Knowledge and experience with clean and tidy data best practices • Experience with a variety of statistical software (R, Python, SQL) preferred • Experience with data collection, aggregation, and automated web scraping preferred • Pursue Excellence – Inspire others to achieve their potential, learn and improve together, and challenge the status quo • Passion for staying ahead of industry trends and continuously improving both technical and leadership skills. • Ability to develop creative, cutting-edge data solutions that drive business impact, continuously pushing the boundaries of what's possible in data analytics and technology. • Expertise in streamlining and optimizing data processes to ensure maximum effectiveness, quality, and scalability across all data-driven initiatives. • Fostering Belonging - Embrace diverse perspectives, build trusting relationships, practice allyship, and celebrate success • Creating a culture where all team members feel valued, heard, and empowered, encouraging diverse ideas and perspectives. • Promoting teamwork by fostering open communication, mutual respect, and inclusivity within cross-functional teams, ensuring everyone feels part of the success. • Understanding the unique needs of individuals within the team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to nurture their growth and success. • Lead Courageously – Speak up, act with integrity, empower others, and be accountable • Demonstrating the ability to make informed, bold decisions even in complex or uncertain situations, taking calculated risks when necessary to achieve breakthrough results. • Encouraging team members to take ownership of projects, fostering a sense of autonomy and trust while challenging them to step up and lead initiatives. • Serve Others – Listen, communicate openly, be kind and respectful, and honor commitments • Prioritizing the needs and success of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that data solutions serve the broader organizational goals and positively impact business outcomes. • Actively seeking input and feedback from various stakeholders, using data insights to address their challenges and make a meaningful impact on their objectives. Here are the tools, equipment, & conditions: • Standard office equipment and computer • Office environment in a multi-story building on a multi-building site • Some travel domestically and internationally • Regular attendance at work is an essential job function Here's where you'll work: Colorado Springs Downtown Headquarters Remote work options available Here's some more information you need to know: • Hiring pay range $56,000 - $65,000 per year • This Full-Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week. • Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 10% target.
