Job Details Job Location: 341 Magnolia Ave Ste 205 - Corona, CA Salary Range: $21.00 - $25.00 Hourly Description Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing Operate x-ray, electrocardiogram (EKG), or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies Maintain inventory of test kits and order supplies for kits when necessary Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments or materials or performing such tasks as giving injections or removing sutures Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential Greet and check-in patients arriving at office or clinic Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma/ GED; Associates degree in Medical Assisting preferred Minimum two years of experience working in an ambulatory clinic/medical office setting preferred Possess an ability to function in a high stress, physically demanding setting Knowledge of health care regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.) Exemplary customer service experience including client relationships and job knowledge Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to exercise manual dexterity, control precision and arm-hand steadiness accurately
