Lead and manage the Employee Dependability & Labor team for Airport Operations, conduct investigations, coach supervisors and frontline employees, and ensure compliance with company policies and union agreements.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2 years in scheduling/payroll/performance management, experience in unionized investigations, team leadership, knowledge of operational policies, and strong communication skills.

Focus will be on coaching supervisors, frontline employees and/or administrative employees plus developing themselves as leaders. The Assistant Manager will lead the Employee Dependability & Labor team for Airport Operations teams at Chicago O'Hare Airport. This includes leading a team that is responsible for administration of the employee dependability process, supporting employees with wellness related requests, liaison with Human Resources and the Employee Service Center, and management of transitional duty assignments. The Assistant Manager will lead and conduct investigations, hold hearings, and train other managers and coordinators on company policies and processes. • Lead the team responsible for administration of the Airport Operations Employee Dependability & Labor processes at Chicago O'Hare Airport • Provide supervisors and frontline with regular coaching, feedback and recognition as appropriate • Provide technical guidance and interpret Company guidelines and procedures to support employees in functional tasks and to ensure that safety, security and service are delivered consistently • Set expectations regarding performance standards for supervisors, frontline employees and/or administrative employees and gain their commitment in accordance with Company guidelines and union agreements (if applicable) • Lead and support investigations (as appropriate) into performance, safety, complaints and other work-related issues • Maintain regular and prompt communication to include attending local meetings, townhalls, RAP sessions, e-mail/voicemail follow-up, and incident reports • Project management What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): • Bachelor's degree and or 4 years of equivalent work experience • 2 years' relevant experience in scheduling, payroll and performance management systems to support frontline employees • Experience conducting investigations in a unionized environment • Experience leading a team • Knowledge of operational policies and procedures including collective bargaining agreements, vendor management, finance, and resource planning. • Demonstrated track record of identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency • Ability to foster collaboration in a team environment • Adept at employing conflict resolution techniques, good decision making, active listening, and empathetic communication to address complex situations • Strong written and oral communication, proficient in appropriate work group and office productivity software (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook) • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, successful completion of interview to meet job qualifications, reliable and punctual attendance What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications): • Bachelor's degree
