Job Title: Director, Manufacturing Engineering Operations Department: Manufacturing / Engineering Reports To: VP of Manufacturing Operations Location: Newark Position Summary The Director of Manufacturing Engineering Operations leads all aspects of manufacturing engineering to ensure efficient, scalable, and high-quality production operations. This senior leadership role drives strategic manufacturing engineering initiatives, oversees process improvements, equipment deployment, capacity planning, and cross-functional collaboration to meet business objectives in an EMS environment. Key Responsibilities * Lead the manufacturing engineering department to develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals. * Oversee process design, equipment engineering, NPI, and continuous improvement programs across manufacturing sites. * Manage capital equipment investments, capacity planning, and technology deployment. * Drive Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives at scale. * Collaborate closely with Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations leadership. * Build and develop a high-performing engineering team, mentoring managers and senior engineers. * Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. * Manage departmental budget, resources, and vendor relationships. * Report key performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred. * 10+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, including leadership in EMS or complex manufacturing. * Proven track record leading large teams and managing multi-site operations. * Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence, and capital equipment management. * Excellent strategic planning, project management, and communication skills. * Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally at all organizational levels.
