Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support our store operations and contribute to our team’s success. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily store activities, ensuring a high level of customer service, and driving sales performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a passion for retail management. Duties • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies. • Supervise and train staff on customer service excellence, sales techniques, and operational procedures. • Manage inventory control processes including ordering, stocking, and merchandising products effectively. • Handle cash management duties including cash handling, bookkeeping, and payroll processing. • Conduct employee orientation and training programs to enhance team performance. • Engage in recruiting efforts by interviewing potential candidates and participating in the hiring process. • Implement marketing strategies to promote store sales and enhance customer engagement. • Maintain a clean and organized store environment that reflects the brand’s standards. • Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions while ensuring accuracy in pricing and sales reporting. • Monitor sales performance metrics and assist in budgeting to achieve financial goals. Skills • Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and pricing strategies. • Proficiency in inventory management and retail math for effective stock control. • Experience in supervising teams with a focus on training & development. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. • Solid understanding of retail sales principles along with experience in cashiering and customer service. • Capability to manage time efficiently while multitasking in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with administrative tasks including payroll processing, budgeting, and bookkeeping. • Leadership qualities that inspire team members towards achieving common goals. • Knowledge of merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility and sales potential. • Strong organizational skills coupled with attention to detail for effective store management.
