Duties & Responsibilities Type of Role: Individual contributor, experienced Area of Responsibility and Purview: Execute on operational activities to deliver service excellence to Private Wealth Management clients Role Specific Job Duties: • Be the SME on multiple operational functions • Works collaboratively with other functions in Private Wealth to answer technical questions, troubleshoot issues, and support special projects • Function Specific Job Duties: • Responsible for executing on operational procedures in a timely and accurate manner. • Will be the innovation rep, provide training, release management, capture firm POV, and establish standardization • Serve as a liaison between the front & middles offices and our technology providers • Additional changes – quality control, lock down experience, reporting • Track, maintain, and report on KPIs • Responsible for executing on day-to-day transactions for areas of direct responsibility in operations • Works collaboratively with Senior Associates on team to resolve complex operational issues and escalations • Ensure internal clients have a positive service experience that always exceeds their expectations • Build and maintain internal relationships to drive continuous improvement of processes • Leverage Private Wealth technologies to process transactions and deliver on responsibilities • Understand overall business needs and help identify value-added services and client/associate experiences that Private Wealth can provide • Review activities within the job scope for sufficient controls to prevent errors, fraud, and omissions • Ensure adherence to corporate policy, operational policy, and regulatory guidance • Other duties as assigned Requirements MINIMUM: • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or combination of education and experience that provides and equivalent background • 3+ years of applicable experience within Financial Services PREFERRED: • Demonstrated client service experience within a wealth management institution • Knowledge of Personal Trust, Custody, and Investment management service offerings and account types MINIMUM: Job Skills: • Great communicator with strong interpersonal skills • Systems thinking and complex problem solving • Attention to detail, yet ability to grasp big picture • Highly organized and can effectively multi-task • Understanding of financial services operational best practices and a knack for generating “wow” moments for clients • Able to balance a client experience mindset when managing and controlling business risks • Ability to work independently, collaborating with others to accomplish client objectives • Ability to adapt to changing information and business needs • Demonstrated ability to learn and communicate complex and detailed information • Analytical problem solver with the ability to think creatively • General knowledge of new account opening, investments, client onboarding requirements and cash management • Organize and prioritize activities to ensure completion within established deadlines • Exceptional written communication Technical Skills: • Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) • Proficiency in UMB custody and clearing platforms such as SEI and Fidelity Wealthscape PREFERRED: Job Skills: • Working knowledge of complex account types • Demonstrated experience with a wide range of client situations and inquiries • General knowledge of compliance rules and regulations within wealth management Technical Skills: • Proficiency with eMoney client portal and financial planning software • Proficiency in Workday, Peoplesoft, Archer, Skillport and Hyperion • Strong proficiency in Salesforce CRM software • Smart, intellectual, and business savvy • Driven to succeed; passionate • Trustworthy • Consistent high performer • Adaptable and able to adjust to many different personalities • Surrounded always by other high performers • Very hard worker • Resourceful; overcome obstacles • Effective leader, even without authority • Down-to-earth, well-grounded, self-aware, humble Work Environment • Type: Office Centric (60% In Office) • Location: Various Private Wealth Office Locations Supervision/Management: None Compensation Range: $44,790.00 - $86,510.00 The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
