Provide administrative and program support including data management, communication coordination, event planning, and student services support for the Social Work department.
3-5 years administrative experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, data management skills, strong communication and organizational abilities, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Description: • Provide high-level administrative and program support for the Social Work department within the School of Arts & Sciences (UMass Global). • Manage data systems, perform data entry, maintain spreadsheets/databases, and compile reports to inform program planning. • Serve as communication hub for the department, organize and disseminate information to faculty, staff, and students. • Coordinate and oversee departmental events, travel logistics, calendar management, and meeting support. • Assist with student services, clinical experience placements, registering students, and conduct process communications. • Prepare documents, multimedia presentations, forms, and templates; maintain office supplies and support special projects as assigned. • Must work an 8 am - 5 pm PST schedule; remote work allowed from specified US states. Requirements: • Three (3) to five (5) years of administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and work experience. • Experience using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or other data management platforms to organize and summarize information. • General understanding of education terminology and higher education organizational structure. • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides). • Experienced in productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, or Google Workspace. • Ability to learn and leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Grammarly) to improve productivity and streamline communication. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively and independently within a collaborative remote work environment. • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and handle interruptions. • Willingness to learn new skills. • Intermediate knowledge of Zoom and personal computer proficiency.
