A great UHY client is seeking a Temp Director of Accounting & Finance to join their team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can partner closely with the President while directly owning key accounting and finance functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, executive presence, and the ability to stabilize and improve financial processes. This is not a strategy-only role. The right individual will be comfortable executing the work while building scalable improvements. The Temp Director of Accounting & Finance role is a contract position, with flexibility on duration. This is an onsite position. Temp Director of Accounting & Finance Key Responsibilities • Lead and perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, review, and reporting • Ensure accuracy and compliance across financial statements and tax requirements • Own cash management, including AR, AP, and short-term cash forecasting • Build and manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the President and leadership team • Develop and maintain financial reporting and dashboards (margin, pricing, cash, AR) • Improve accounting processes, controls, and system integrations • Drive automation and reduce manual reporting efforts • Partner with leadership to support pricing, margin, and profitability decisions • Assess current staff, stabilize execution, and recommend future structure Temp Director of Accounting & Finance Qualifications • CPA preferred, not required • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience • Proven hands-on ownership of close and financial operations\ • Strong cash flow, forecasting, and decision-support experience • Experience with modern reporting tools (Power BI preferred) • Background in technology or IT services a plus • High integrity, strong attention to detail, and steady communication style -------------------------------------- UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
