## Key Role Overview This is a Summer 2026 internship based in the Los Angeles office supporting rail and transit engineering design. The intern will gain hands-on experience assisting project teams with engineering drawings, computer modeling, quantity take-offs, progress reports, and site visits while learning to apply codes and standards under close supervision. The role emphasizes collaboration, technical skill development, and professional growth through meaningful project work. ## Key Responsibilities - Become familiar with engineering plans and details - Perform quantity take-offs - Assist with project monitoring and scheduling - Assist with computer modeling - Assist with producing progress reports - Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and support staff - Assist in production of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under close supervision of senior engineers - Apply proper codes and standards in the production of engineering deliverables - Attend site visits or inspections ## Required Qualifications - Current 3rd year undergraduate standing or graduate student standing in an accredited Civil Engineering program - Experience with MS Word and Excel - Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to collaborate effectively in a team environment - Strong commitment to integrity and continuous learning ## Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of Bluebeam - Knowledge of Open. Roads - Knowledge of Auto. CAD - Knowledge of Micro.
