About the role You’ll work closely with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, CFO, company leadership, and partners across our demand generation, marketplace operations, and talent acquisition to drive executive-level business impact and power our company-wide forecasting & planning. Strategic Finance is a fast-paced, high-impact team that manages Two Chairs’s near and long range financial plans, setting company and organization-level goals. You’ll lead a team developing deep cross-functional partnerships & domain expertise to proactively identify opportunities to strengthen our business, and execute on our strategy. You'll be responsible for leading growth & margin planning, embedded support for the operating teams executing on the plan, translating complex financials into clear narratives for non-Finance leaders, financial forecasting and reporting, developing materials for our board and investors, and serving as a force multiplier for strategic decision making. Core Areas of Responsibility Growth & Operations Business Partnership (80%) Serve as the primary strategic thought partner to our Chief Growth Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Clinical Officer Leverage financial modeling to propose and execute on strategic solutions to grow revenue and optimize clinical margin Embedded partnership with Growth, Operations, and Clinical leads to set plan targets & OKRs, model scenarios, validate critical assumptions, and drive data-driven decisions Maintain and improve driver-based financial planning models with detailed revenue growth & clinical cost builds across key markets, health plan partners, and clinician hiring / productivity scenarios Work closely with our CFO and Corporate FP&A team, surfacing insights on variances to the company plan and their underlying drivers Deliver frameworks for operating teams to understand the relationship between key operational drivers and financial outcomes, and develop recommendations that align with company & financial goals Combine complex & disparate data into clear & succinct insights, leveraging tools like Looker and Pigment to build scalable analyses Develop and maintain margin models to inform recommendations for health plan go-to-market pricing & packaging strategy Host regular business reviews to evaluate performance vs plan, and implement course corrections as needed Investor & Board Relations (20%) Lead our quarterly Board Meeting materials preparation, working directly with the CEO, CFO, and Head of FP&A Set clear expectations and effectively project manage cross-functional partners - sourcing required inputs, and creating alignment with the overall board narrative Craft investor memos and communications to keep key stakeholders informed of the company’s strategy and performance Where you’ll make an impact: Provide deep insight into core business drivers of the company’s growth and clinical supply - in partnership with operating leads - to optimize margin and ensure healthy scaling of new states & service lines Drive strategic alignment between the Executive Leadership Team in assessing opportunities for revenue growth and margin optimization, and facilitate execution of the plans Support the Head of FP&A & CFO with ad hoc projects, including strategic and cross-functional initiatives to help drive long-term growth and profitability Develop and implement process improvement projects to uplevel the workflow of the Finance department Effectively manage two direct reports, promoting an open & ongoing feedback culture to enable continuous development You’ll be successful if you: 8+ years of progressive experience in a highly analytical role - preferably in strategic finance & business partnerships at a high-growth company, investment banking and/or private equity - with 3+ years in a management capacity Embed deeply within operating teams to create trusted business partnerships that consistently deliver exceptional financial results Excellent written and verbal communication skills – with the ability to clearly frame complex problems in a simplified way, and distill key drivers & recommendations for executive leadership Experience analyzing and generating insights from large data sets – with a strong grasp of financial statements, reporting and modeling Expert in Excel, Proficiency with financial analysis and data analytics tools (eg. Looker, SQL, Pigment, Workday Adaptive, Anaplan) preferred Team-first mentality, willing to roll up sleeves and dive in where needed; comfortable wearing many hats and managing competing priorities Desire to work in a high-growth, mission-driven company environment About you: Committed to delivering exceptional quality work Very detail oriented Passionate about mental health Low ego and outcome-focused Deeply empathetic Pragmatic Compensation & Benefits The final offer is dependent on the qualifications and experience of the candidate hired. New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $164,000 and $203,000. The full salary range for this full-time, exempt role is $164,000 - $223,000.
