Join a growing semiconductor manufacturing team as a wafer fabrication technician! This hands-on role focuses on operating, maintaining, and optimizing thin-film deposition and etch processes in a cleanroom environment. If you have a background in physics or engineering and enjoy precision work in a high-tech production setting, this is the opportunity for you. Location: Saint Paul, MN Wage: $70,000 – $85,000 per year Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm Benefits of the wafer fabrication technician: • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance • 401(k) with company match • Scheduled raises and performance reviews • Ongoing training and development opportunities • Stable customer base and long-term shop stability • Company events and team-building activities Duties of the wafer fabrication technician: • Operate and maintain semiconductor deposition equipment (evaporation, sputtering) • Run and optimize etch processes, including RIE • Develop and improve thin film deposition and etch recipes • Monitor process data to ensure yield and quality control • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues • Support continuous improvement initiatives • Maintain cleanroom standards and safety practices Requirements of the wafer fabrication technician: • Hands-on experience with deposition (evaporation/sputtering) and/or etching tools • Understanding of process control and yield improvement • Cleanroom experience preferred • Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, or similar process improvement tools • Knowledge of thin film materials and characterization techniques Additional information: Apply today!
