Description Pacific Electric is a 750-capacity music venue where fans and artists come together to share in an electrifying moment – a ‘lightning in a bottle’ type entertainment experience. Set in a historic warehouse, it pairs the raw energy of live performance with refined hospitality and thoughtful design and will act as a cultural conduit where local creatives and global talent intersect. This venue is adjacent to two hospitality concepts, each with their own unique brand identities. About the Role Pacific Electric is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Programming Manager to join our Venue Operations team. This is a crucial role responsible for managing and maintaining the venue’s calendar and curating our programming. The Programming Manager will oversee all aspects of event scheduling, including processing incoming hold requests, vetting artists submitted for holds, maintaining a clean and up-to-date calendar, issuing challenges, tracking responses, and confirming events. A primary responsibility is to ensure Pacific Electric’s "open-room ethos" by curating a diverse calendar that truly reflects the vibrant Los Angeles music scene, balancing both local and national promoters across all genres. RESPONSIBILITIES Programming & Promoter Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national promoters to develop a robust, diverse slate of shows. Collaborate with promoters and internal tvg programming teams to ensure a balanced mix of genres and event types. Contribute to pre-opening programming strategy, including positioning and promoter outreach. Calendar & Event Scheduling Manage venue calendars—adding, releasing, challenging, and confirming holds—with timely and accurate reporting. Distribute hold and calendar reports to relevant teams and leadership; participate in weekly programming and operations meetings. Track challenge deadlines and facilitate resolution with urgency and diplomacy. Coordinate closely with the Sales Manager to balance event scheduling with budget requirements. Event Coordination & Advancement Partner with production, operations, marketing, sales, and box office teams to ensure all event details are communicated and executed accurately. Coordinate and advance event details, from initial confirmation through show day. Build and maintain event listings in Ticketmaster for all Pacific Electric events. Administrative & Financial Oversight Manage promoter contracts, production budgets, internal budgets, and contact tracking. Track and reconcile event expenses, ensuring accurate budget management. Maintain accurate records for all event-related communications and documentation. QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES 2+ years of experience in a calendar management, booking coordination, or agency/venue role within the live music industry Experience working at a talent agency or with artist management is strongly preferred. Proven ability to manage a high volume of dates and requests with accuracy, discretion, and professionalism. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills. Proficiency with Google Workspace and booking/calendar management platforms (e.g., PromoterOps) Familiarity with the Los Angeles music scene and venue landscape.
