Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Producer to lead our production team in delivering compelling content across various platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in video production, editing, and post-production processes, along with exceptional communication and writing skills. As an Executive Premium Competition Reality Series Position Type: Executive Producer - Sales & Distribution Project Overview: Join the executive team of a fully completed premium unscripted competition series featuring high-profile talent and produced by a multi-Emmy-winning creative team. This is a boutique production seeking a dedicated Executive Producer to lead all sales, distribution, and business development efforts. Role & Responsibilities: Primary Focus - U.S. Acquisition: • Lead all pitch meetings and negotiations with major U.S. streaming platforms (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Peacock, Hulu, Max, Paramount+) • Structure and negotiate licensing agreements including windows, holdbacks, and rights carve-outs • Present performance metrics, engagement features, and interactive elements to acquisition executives • Protect underlying format/IP rights while maximizing primary licensing revenue Secondary Focus - Global Expansion: • Develop international distribution strategy across EMEA, LatAm, and APAC territories • Negotiate format licensing deals and adaptation rights • Structure co-production partnerships for local versions • Manage ongoing relationship with international buyers and format partners Executive Producer Duties: • Serve as primary business representative for the series • Collaborate with creative team on positioning and marketing materials • Oversee all legal and business affairs related to distribution • Participate in key strategic decisions regarding the franchise • Represent the series at industry events and markets (MIPCOM, NATPE, etc.) Ideal Executive Producer Profile: Essential Experience: • Recent U.S. Sales Success: Closed unscripted acquisition deals with major streaming platforms within last 24 months • Competition Reality Expertise: Proven track record selling competition/business reality content • Finished Content Sales: Demonstrated success with completed series • Senior-Level Relationships: Direct access to heads of acquisition at major platforms • Format Rights Experience: Understanding of international format licensing and protection Business Qualifications: • 7+ years in content sales, distribution, or business development • Strong negotiation skills with multi-territory deal experience • Understanding of streaming economics and platform strategies • Experience with interactive/digital content elements • International market knowledge preferred Why This Executive Producer Role: Unique Opportunity: • Dedicated Focus: Unlike traditional distributors managing dozens of titles, you'll architect the entire business strategy for one premium asset • Equity Participation: Executive Producer credit with participation in all revenue streams • High-Profile Project: Multi-Emmy-winning production team with established talent • Franchise Potential: Opportunity to build a global format with multiple revenue streams Compensation Structure: • Executive Producer fee + commission on all deals • Participation in format licensing and international sales • Ongoing revenue share from ancillary rights • Potential for long-term partnership on future productions Next Steps: We're seeking an Executive Producer who can begin immediately with U.S. platform meetings.
