Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities: • Comprehend and follow instructions as directed, project site signage, andtool and equipment manufacturers instructions prior to engaging in work. • Perform work tasks and activities as directed and under supervision,including but not limited to: o Review and understand jobsite needs with Superintendents and Foreman. o Perform physical labor to assist with jobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, sitelogistics, fencing, deck and platform building, protection systems, and construction waste areas. o Operate equipment such as forklifts, backhoe, skid steer, excavator,compactors, and construction hoist. o Gather and transport materials. o Perform selected demolition. o Conduct daily review project perimeter for security and cleanliness. o Assist with construction of scaffolding. o Perform fire watch duties as needed. o May assist other craft trade workers as needed. • Assist with project site safety and quality programs and participate daily inPre-Task Plans. • Comply with safety protocols, escalate issues, and communicate clearly inemergency situations. • Follow safety expectations for operation of equipment and tools, selectappropriate equipment for performing work, and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). • Ensure security of equipment and work areas while conducting operations. • Inspect manual and power tools prior to use to ensure safe working condition. • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors,suppliers and other employees. • Display high level of teamwork, integrity, and commitment in dailyactivities. • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities to assist other craft tradeworkers as needed or assigned. The hourly rate for a 1st year apprentice is $30.84/hour perunion agreement.
