Job Summary: This position plays a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of overhaul and maintenance activities across a diverse generation fleet spanning gas, coal, wind, and solar facilities. Working in a dynamic, site-facing capacity, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineers, contractors, and plant personnel to develop comprehensive project schedules and coordinate materials planning for major overhauls. This hands-on role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments and can effectively manage multiple workstreams, contractor relationships, and complex scheduling requirements simultaneously. The position offers direct involvement in critical infrastructure projects that keep power generation facilities operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed project schedules for plant overhauls using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 - Build and manage Gantt charts, work breakdown structures, and activity sequencing for complex, multi-contractor projects - Identify and manage critical path activities while communicating schedule risks and mitigation strategies - Integrate contractor schedules into a master schedule covering 100+ activities and 10–15 contractors - Tie schedules into cost structures and provide cost visibility, forecasts, and analysis - Coordinate material needs, delivery schedules, and vendor timelines for overhaul execution - Work alongside engineers and plant leadership to align labor, equipment, and material availability with project milestones - Assist with contractor schedule reviews, progress tracking, and daily/weekly schedule updates - Utilize SAP or similar systems for work-order planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting - Use SAP T-codes to conduct cost analysis, schedule alignment, and work-order updates - Export and analyze cost data to support overall schedule health and resource planning - Create and maintain scheduling standards, workflow documentation, and playbook materials to support consistency across sites - Develop written guidelines to document how scheduling, planning, and work order management should be executed - Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the overhaul scheduling team - Engage daily with engineers, site leadership, project managers, contractors, and supply chain teams - Participate in plant meetings, turnaround/overhaul planning sessions, and contractor coordination calls - Provide clear schedule updates, progress reports, and critical-path commentary Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 - Ability to build work breakdown structures and manage complex schedules - Critical path analysis and management - Multi-contractor coordination and integration - Materials planning and logistics coordination - SAP system navigation, including work orders, cost exports, and T-codes - Cost analysis and financial tracking - Documentation and technical writing - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Problem-solving and risk mitigation - Attention to detail and organizational abilities - Ability to work effectively in industrial and construction environments Previous Experience: - 2–3 years of experience in scheduling or planning for industrial, utility, construction, or power generation environments - Experience coordinating multiple contractors, activities, and material requirements - Prior experience supporting utility plant overhauls, maintenance outages, or turnarounds is preferred - Experience developing scheduling standards or creating documented operating procedures/playbooks is preferred - Background in cost-loaded scheduling or integrating contractor schedules into master schedules is preferred - Prior experience as an SAP Planner is a strong plus Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
