SUMMARY: Responsible for growth of sales in territory with major market players through winning successive projects and management of existing business to support the company’s growth objectives. Utilize solution selling techniques to win catalog, catalog variation and custom molded components based on strong technical aptitude and Medical market acumen. The medical market consists of OEM products used in Medical and Life Science applications. The primary commercial focus is on product protection, packaging, custom components and Single use Labware sales. It is estimated that this position will require approximately 60% travel to meet the performance expectations of this position. Role is remote, based out of Buffalo, NY. SPONSORSHIP NOT PROVIDED ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. • Grow company revenues through direct sales to the medical market throughout assigned territory within continental US with some accounts in Mexico, Canada and Latin America. • Identify catalog, catalog variation, and custom molded component opportunities, promote company capabilities and value proposition, manage resources internally and externally to quote and close business opportunities. • Identify custom molding opportunities, promote company capabilities and value proposition, manage resources internally and externally to quote and close business opportunities. • Work collaboratively with Medical Sales Director, Medical Account Managers, Medical Market Manager, Inside Sales and Sales Engineers/Program Managers to grow and sustain revenue. • Understand the Company’s core competencies and market strategies then apply that understanding when prospecting customers’ needs. • Utilize a combination of hunting, farming and networking sales strategies combined with a genuine commitment to excellent customer service that result in lasting customer relationships. • Development of annual forecast and sales goals and objectives as it pertains to the territory. Maintain visit records and CRM database on visit, quote and general funnel activity. • Compose and present quarterly /annual territory reviews within medical team structure. • Conduct Lunch and Learn presentations showcasing company capabilities and products to a diverse audience including engineering, quality, and executive team representatives • Provide continuous customer feedback to Medical Sales Director and Market Manager to assure alignment of marketing plans and goals. • Support and staff all medical trade show activities within and out of assigned territories when appropriate • Maintain accurate expense reporting • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting general and industry specific business periodicals, journals and engineering drawings; learning and being conversant in manufacturing processes and industry best practices plus applicable government regulations. • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from Four‑year College or university is required; a concentration in engineering is preferred but not required. • A minimum of 5 years of outside solution-oriented sales experience to OEMs is required; experience selling medical and/or scientific products to OEMs is preferred but not required. Experience selling rubber, polymer and/or vinyl products to OEMs would be helpful experience. • Effective professional communication skills are required, this includes the abilities to compose, and present presentations and reports for internal and external audiences. • Possess and maintains a valid driver’s license AND passport.
