Summary Position Title: Product Director, Trusted Image Processing Products Position ID: TA234 Location(s): Northern Virginia (desired); Remote (acceptable w/ travel) Application Deadline: We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis Security Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI (w/ Poly desired) Security Clearance Job Description Trusted Space is seeking a Technical Product Director to join our team to drive the development, deployment, and adoption of our Trusted Space Image Processing Products. The Product Director will own the engineering, software architecture, product development, and deployment of Trusted Space's Image Processing Products. The Product Director will own the full product lifecycle-from ideation through commercialization-ensuring that our Trusted Space Image Processing Products are not just technically sound, but create safe, reliable, and high-value solutions for our customers. This position will require technical and collaboration expertise along with prior leadership experience leading cross-functional teams in developing products. As Trusted Space enters its next evolution of growth, the Trusted Space Image Processing Products will play a vital role in the strategic direction of the company resulting in next generation capabilities being delivered to our nation's warfighters. Key Responsibilities • Image Processing Roadmap: Own the product roadmap for the Trusted Space Image Processing Products. This includes balancing requirements that are central to the future of the core image processing products and intimately understanding our customers' problems. • Technical Specification: Translate high-level customer requirements into detailed technical specs, features, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams. • Data-Driven Prioritization: Leverage data, operational metrics, and KPIs to identify failure modes, measure performance, and prioritize engineering focus to improve system performance and efficiency. • Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Lead cross-functional teams spanning systems, software, test, and image processing engineers. • Field Readiness & Deployment: Partner closely with Business Development, Program Execution, and other external facing teams to translate real-world constraints into product requirements, experiments, commissioning, and deployment. • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the product evangelist, communicating technical progress, milestones, and roadmap status to executive leadership, partners, and customers. • Technical-Marketing Bridge: Provide the "source of truth" for technical documentation, release notes, and user guides to ensure internal teams and customers are prepared for rollouts. Qualifications • TS/SCI Security Clearance • 10+ years of product management, technical program management experience, or leading technical teams • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Image Processing related fields • Direct experience with Agile Methodology • Direct experience architecting image processing systems • Mission First Mindset - A strong desire to tackle our customers' greatest problems to deliver innovative capabilities to the warfighter • Extreme Ownership - Ability to own the performance and results of the product while embedding the same level of ownership and responsibility throughout the product personnel as they execute the product development • Effective Communicator & Team Builder - Prior leadership experience demonstrated by assembling a world class team and effectively communicating the vision for future success • Problem Solver - Proven experience solving critical organizational challenges and customer problems • Ability to travel as needed in support of team meetings and internal strategy sessions Desired Skills and Experience • TS/SCI (w/ Poly desired) Security Clearance • Direct experience with leading Agile development teams • Willingness to learn and adapt to a continually changing environment as customer requirements evolve • Prioritization under Ambiguity: Ability to make fast, data-driven decisions balancing safety, velocity, cost, and long-term platform flexibility Compensation The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $250,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary.
