The Claims Specialist ll is responsible for processing, investigating, negotiating, and settling a variety of increasingly complex life and health inquiries and claims. This role requires a detailed understanding of applicable state and insurance industry laws and regulations.
Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent work experience, with a preference for a bachelor's degree. A minimum of 2 years of customer service and claims processing experience is required, along with excellent communication and analytical skills.

The incumbent will process, investigate, negotiate and settle a variety of increasingly complex L&H inquiries and claims. Serves as technical lead, may coordinate work of others, and develop solutions to improve team performance. May require examinations / licensing. Job Responsibilities: Analyze claims to determine the need for additional investigation Deal / communicated directly with 3rd parties and customers in the investigation, negotiation and conclusion of claims in accordance with established procedures Evaluate / approve / pay claims up to pre-approved limit dependent on products serviced The above statement of duties is not intended to be all inclusive and other duties will be assigned from time to time. Job Requirements: Associate Degree or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred 2 + years of customer service experience, including demonstrated teleservice skills 2 + years of Claim processing experience (prefer: disability) Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and decision-making ability Demonstrated mathematical aptitude Demonstrated ability to interpret medical and insurance documentation Fluency in Spanish (verbal/written) preferred If you’re ready to help make a difference, apply today.
