Matrix New World Engineering is seeking an entrepreneurial and technically gifted Seller/Doer to join our leadership team. In this role, you will be the face of the firm to our clients - not just during the proposal phase, but throughout the entire project lifecycle. You will leverage your existing industry relationships and technical expertise to identify new opportunities, secure contracts, and then lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact engineering and environmental solutions. This is a strategic role for a professional who thrives on "hunting" for new business while maintaining the technical rigor required to be a Senior Technical Lead or Senior Project Manager. Compensation: $165,000 - $200,000 + performance-based bonuses, commensurate with experience. The "Seller" (Business Development & Growth) • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with key decision-makers in the NY/NJ Metro area, with an emphasis on private developers and industrial clients. • Cross-Selling: Actively promote Matrix's full suite of services (Geotechnical, Marine, Ecological, Environmental, Land Development, and Surveying) to existing and prospective clients. The "Doer" (Technical Leadership & Delivery) • Project Management: Serve as the Senior Project Manager for complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to Matrix's standards of excellence. • Technical Excellence: Act as a technical expert, Professional Geologist or Engineer of Record (PE) for complex subsurface investigations and remedial design projects. • Mentorship: Lead and inspire a team of junior and mid-level engineers. Foster a culture of ownership, helping "Doers" within the firm develop their own "Seller" skill sets. • Quality Assurance: Perform high-level technical reviews of designs, permits, and reports to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Minimum Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field. • Experience: 15 years of experience in the environmental industry, with a proven track record of bringing in $1M+ in annual revenue through client relationships. • Technical Domain: Deep expertise in at least one Matrix core area: Hydrogeology, Environmental Remediation, or Brownfield Redevelopment. Preferred Qualifications • Licensure: Professional Geologist, NJ Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license are preferred. • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and "storytelling" abilities-the ability to translate complex engineering challenges into value-driven solutions for clients. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
