Bachelor's degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering or related field, extensive construction estimating experience, project management skills, and ability to respond to government proposals.

As an Estimator/Project Manager, you will be responsible for calculating major construction cost estimates, and you will be involved in the planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution of a project. Outstanding senior estimators are able to negotiate with a range of professionals, make accurate time and cost estimates, and resolve any issues that arise. Duties/Responsibilities: • Responsible for the preparation of estimates. Will work closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, and meticulous attention to detail as minor changes can greatly affect the overall cost of a project. • High analytical skills which enable a construction estimator to consider and evaluate different construction methods and options in order to determine the most cost-effective solutions or recommendations that meet the required specifications. • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills as a construction estimator are required to liaise with vendors and clients and write and present comprehensive reports. • Time management skills to work on fixed deadlines and prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work. Ensuring that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline. • Formulate contingency plans and effectively manage risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
