Full Description

Join Our Team at Triplepoint Environmental Are you energized by developing new markets, building enterprise-level relationships, and driving commercial growth in a mission-driven organization? Triplepoint Environmental is seeking an Industrial Business Development Manager to expand our presence in key industrial wastewater sectors and help shape the next chapter of our growth. This is a high-impact, externally facing role—ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven commercial professional who thrives in technical environments and is excited by the opportunity to open new markets, accelerate adoption of industry-leading technologies, and build long-term partnerships across the industrial sector. Who We Are Triplepoint Environmental is a leader in wastewater lagoon solutions, providing reliable, cost-effective, and low-maintenance treatment technologies for municipalities and industrial clients. Our portfolio includes innovative systems such as the Ares Aerator, NitrOx, NitrOx+D, PhosBox, and more—each designed to retrofit existing lagoon infrastructure to help clients meet modern effluent standards efficiently and affordably. In 2023, Triplepoint joined the Axius Water platform, a private-equity–backed group supported by KKR’s Global Impact Fund. While continuing to operate under our own brand, we benefit from the shared resources, network strength, and technical depth of a global platform dedicated to improving water quality worldwide. If you’re driven to develop markets and use your commercial acumen to strengthen an organization committed to environmental impact, we want to meet you. Our Ideal Candidate You are an experienced business development or B2B sales professional with a strong understanding of industrial markets, preferably within water, wastewater, or adjacent environmental technologies. You're skilled at identifying high-potential sectors, cultivating relationships with decision-makers, and converting early opportunities into long-term, multi-site partnerships. What You’ll Be Doing As the Industrial Business Development Manager, you will play a central role in expanding Triplepoint’s industrial footprint—targeting food & beverage, pulp & paper, and other high-demand verticals. You’ll collaborate closely with the sales, engineering, and Axius Water teams to identify strategic opportunities, develop integrated approaches, and advance enterprise-level engagements. Account Growth & Enterprise Selling • Cultivate and expand relationships with strategic industrial clients, particularly large food & beverage producers, dairies, breweries, and similar sectors. • Convert site-level project wins into multi-site, enterprise-level partnerships. • Develop tailored account plans and long-term engagement strategies for high-potential customers. Market Identification & Expansion • Research, assess, and prioritize emerging verticals aligned with Triplepoint’s lagoon-based treatment technologies. • Identify new sub-sectors—such as pulp & paper, industrial food processing, and other markets—where lagoon retrofits offer competitive advantage. • Monitor industry trends, regulatory drivers, and market shifts to inform go-to-market strategy. Sales Strategy & Internal Collaboration • Work closely with the sales team and Axius Water colleagues to align on technical solutions, pricing structures, and market positioning. • Support development of proposals, presentations, and technical-commercial deliverables. • Participate in pipeline reviews and cross-functional planning to support accurate forecasting and commercial execution. CRM & Pipeline Management • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, account status, and activities. • Produce sales forecasts, growth projections, and performance reporting. • Ensure timely follow-up and data integrity across the CRM platform. Brand Representation & Industry Engagement • Represent Triplepoint at conferences, trade shows, industry events, and webinars. • Serve as a commercial ambassador—promoting solutions like Ares, NitrOx/NitrOx+D, PhosBox, and LRAS to technical and executive audiences. • Build strong visibility for Triplepoint within targeted industrial markets. What You Bring • 5+ years of business development, enterprise sales, or strategic account management experience. • Experience within environmental technology, water/wastewater treatment, or adjacent industrial sectors strongly preferred. • Proven track record of securing complex, multi-site, or enterprise-level agreements. • Technical fluency—comfortable discussing lagoon treatment concepts (aeration, nitrogen/phosphorus removal) and articulating value propositions. • Strategic mindset with strong market analysis and opportunity evaluation skills. • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities. • Highly organized, process-driven, and skilled in CRM pipeline management. • Willingness to travel to client sites, conferences, and industry events as needed. What We Offer Triplepoint offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentive compensation aligned with growth achievements. Benefits include a 401(k), strong profit-sharing potential, and generous vacation and holiday time. Our Core Values At Triplepoint, Our Values Define Who We Are Stay Hungry. We Say It, We Do It. Give a Sh*t. Next Level. Team First. We commit to our customers, partners, and employees that we will do everything possible to live up to these values, and we expect the same from our team members.
