Prior receptionist or front desk experience preferred, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel, attention to detail, and ability to multitask while maintaining a hospitable presence.
Job Summary: The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for guests and associates at our premium corporate dining location. This role is highly visible and plays a critical part in ensuring smooth daily operations during peak meal service times. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service, maintain a well-organized front desk, and support both administrative and operational functions. Shift Timing: 6:30 AM-3:00 PM Monday-Friday Pay: $26.00 per hour Receptionist Tasks and Responsibilities: • Greet all guests and associates warmly and professionally. • Maintain a consistent front desk presence during key service periods. • Stand in front of the desk during high guest volumes to assist with check-in and door badging. • Ensure the glass door remains closed during breakfast and lunch service. • In unattended hours, confirm intercom system is active before leaving and notify the downstairs desk of any absence. • Politely remind diners to swipe their badge to check in and access the dining area. • Log names of diners who do not have a badge; include them in the following day’s door count report. • Record names of internal guests along with their host information. • Update and resend the required report daily to designated contacts, ensuring it includes non-badged diners from the previous day. • Maintain a hospitable and welcoming demeanor at all times; the receptionist is not responsible for turning away guests. • Coordinate daily with the culinary team to update and print accurate signage, including digital displays. • Input and review invoices weekly with management. • Post daily sales in the system, reconcile credit card transactions, and track sales data in Excel. • Keep the front desk clean and free of clutter. • Ensure the correct weekly menu is displayed at all times. Dress Code & Appearance: • Maintain a well-groomed, neat appearance at all times. • Required dress code: • Jacket and pants in muted tones (e.g., grey, navy, dark green, tan) • Collared shirt • Dress shoes Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct supervisory responsibilities. Receptionist Qualifications: • Prior receptionist, front desk, or guest services experience preferred. • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a hospitable presence.
