Trident Consulting is seeking a "Elixir Engineer” for one of our clients in Remote Job role: Elixir Engineer Location: Remote Type: Contract (C2C / W2) Interview: One internal and one end client Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Elixir Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and fault-tolerant applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the Elixir programming language, functional programming principles, and the Phoenix framework. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver robust software solutions that meet business requirements for high-concurrency systems. Job Summary: • Design and implement efficient and scalable applications using Elixir and OTP principles. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions. • Write clean and maintainable code, adhering to Elixir best practices and functional programming principles. • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal application performance and reliability. • Build and maintain distributed systems, ensuring seamless communication and data processing across multiple nodes. • Optimize resource utilization for efficient application performance in cloud-based or serverless environments. • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to maintain high availability. • Stay up-to-date with the latest Elixir trends, tools, and technologies to leverage cutting-edge advancements. • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability. • Collaborate with team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. • Proven experience as an Elixir Developer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of Elixir projects at least for a period of 5 years. • Deep understanding of Elixir programming language and OTP framework. • Proficiency in building distributed systems and leveraging Elixir’s concurrency capabilities. • Familiarity with functional programming principles and experience with other functional languages is a plus. • Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and web application development using Elixir/Phoenix. • Experience with database technologies, such as PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment. • Passion for continuous learning and a drive to stay updated with the latest Elixir developments.
