Summer 2026 Mechanical Engineering Co-Op - Development & Innovation West Chester, OH Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM As a product development mechanical engineering intern/Co-op with Trew you will gain experience with many aspects of the design process including product design, product evaluation, technical drawing and revisions and bill of material creation and maintenance. Duties / Responsibilities • Designing components and sub-systems that form parts of complex systems. • Analyzing data to determine if design meets function and performance specifications. • Creating and maintaining items and BOM structure. • Producing high quality 3D modelling drawings. • Working directly with lead engineers. • Producing design and cost estimation. Required Skills / Abilities • Strong people skills with the ability to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels. • The ability to learn quickly and a desire to broaden your skills and experience. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education & Experience • Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical preferred). Work Environment This is primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based, mobility within the office, manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues. Physical Requirements • Required to stand, walk and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms for the use of tools to assemble heavy equipment. • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds. • Travel less than 10%.
