Role Overview: As a Communication Systems Engineer at TrellisWare Technologies, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing advanced communication systems. Your expertise will help drive innovation and ensure the reliability and performance of our wireless solutions in diverse applications. What You'll Do: - You will design and develop communication system architectures and algorithms. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components. - You will analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. - You will conduct simulations and testing to validate system designs. - You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to communication systems. - You will document system specifications, test results, and design changes. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform product development. - You will support the deployment and maintenance of communication systems in operational environments. What You Bring: - You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - You have 3+ years of experience in communication systems engineering or a similar role. - You possess strong knowledge of wireless communication protocols and signal processing. - You are proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, or similar simulation tools. - You have experience with software development in C/C++ or Python. - You demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with RF hardware design and testing. - Familiarity with FPGA programming and embedded systems. - Knowledge of network security principles related to communication systems. - Prior experience working in defense or aerospace communication projects.
