Here's a detailed list of what the job looks like: Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Act as the primary client lead on select accounts and agency/team representative, including partnering with the client to define PR KPIs, account direction, and execution of strategy • Understand the value of earned programming and how PR has evolved and translates in today's complex media environment • Demonstrate a general understanding of the full marketing ecosystem and PR, as our clients are communications and marketing leads • Support and develop directors and account managers with their accounts • Empower and manage team members and utilize agency resources to develop an expert understanding of our client's business, business plan and GTM, industry, trends, and competitive landscape • Develop strategic and tactical program recommendations for your respective accounts • Ensure alignment of client goals and agency values • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and develop and foster 1:1 client relationships through calls, in-person meetings, and entertainment • Bring passion for learning and a deep understanding of technology to your work daily and share those insights with the broader team Team Leadership • Develop team members and define career paths and performance expectations • Set S.M.A.R.T. goals for direct reports and hold regular check-ins • Grow and motivate team members through coaching, consistently providing feedback, and leading by example • Seek opportunities to recruit talented people to join the team • Set a positive, uplifting tone to create a spirit of teamwork, enthusiasm, and quality • Be an ambassador to the agency—committed to Treble's mission and culture Account Management • Focus on client satisfaction, resulting in client retention • Meet account retention goals • Manage the day-to-day operations of the internal communications/PR team, including performance management, talent development, budgeting, and resource allocation • Provide counsel to clients—ongoing and when faced with good news or unexpected challenges • Ensure the strategic value and highest quality of all client deliverables • Communicate proactively—both verbally and in writing—regarding strategic client documents and discussions • Develop proposals and manage budgets for existing clients; ensure timelines are met and SOWs are accurate and turned around in a timely manner • Identify opportunities to grow services with current accounts, resulting in additional revenue • Measure and report PR metrics/results to clients based on brand direction • Provide strategic guidance and board-level analysis of quarterly metrics and PR program performance Media Relations • Lead all aspects of strategic media relations planning and execution, leveraging existing relationships with reporters and outlets on behalf of the client and agency • Create and present strategic media relations plans; oversee strategy development for issues, and know when to engage media specialists • Review the account team's media pitches to help elevate results • Review media lists and provide strategic guidance for key account contacts • Hold publication shuffle discussions as needed to ensure media ownership is delivering expected engagement and results • Meet with the account team regularly to guide and advise on proactive media outreach New Business • Attend networking events and build a personal network to obtain new business for the agency and expand Treble's presence in the SF Bay Area • Prepare for and attend new business pitches • Develop new business decks/assets as needed • Achieve revenue goals Qualifications • Minimum of 10 years combined experience in earned media, PR, marketing, and team development • Minimum of 5 years in agency or in-house communications experience • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, or related field • Proven ability to manage teams in-person and remotely • Proven ability to drive client strategy, leading to the advancement of the client's business goals • Entrepreneurially spirited • Impeccable organizational and time management skills • Strong track record of professionalism, leadership, and teamwork • Thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Travel • Quarterly travel to Austin to collaborate with the Treble HQ team, or as needed • New business travel will be required as needed • Travel for client-facing meetings is required as needed • Treble will pay or reimburse you for business-related travel Reports to SVP Supervises Account Coordinators, Senior/Account Executives, Account Managers/Directors Location • San Francisco, CA • Remote work 2-3 days a week • In-office work 2-3 days a week Employment Type • At-will • Full-time • Exempt Benefits • Medical, dental & vision benefits, 75% of premiums paid by Treble, 20% of dependent premiums paid by Treble • Flexible PTO policy • Approximately 19 paid holidays annually (closed the week between Christmas and New Year and half-day Fridays in July) • 401(k) with 3% company match, eligible upon 6 months of employment • Paid parental leave • Monthly telecommunication stipend • Monthly wellness reimbursement • Quarterly office supply reimbursement • A culture founded on transparency, open communication, a strong work ethic, and reward • Team outings, including volunteer opportunities, lunch, happy hours, and quarterly reward events • Opportunity for performance and new business bonuses TO APPLY: Email jointheteam@treblepr.com and explain why you're the person for the job.
