Lead Software Engineer – Distributed Systems / AWS Location - Remote Position Type : Fulltime Role Job Summary We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, Go, and Python. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing highly available applications running on AWS EKS and OpenShift. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, where you will guide engineering practices, make architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and work closely with product and business stakeholders. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 8–10+ years of software engineering experience. • Strong hands-on experience with Go/Golang and Python. • Working experience with Node.js. • Strong AWS experience, including EKS. • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift. • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability. • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps automation. • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or other IaC tools. • Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, SQS, or SNS. • Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineering teams. • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar. • Preferred: Healthcare/payer, HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, or X12 experience.
