Senior .NET Engineer Job Description Senior .NET Engineer Position overview Vestige is seeking a senior-level .NET Engineer to help design, build, troubleshoot, and evolvesoftware that integrates applications, data pipelines, distributed systems, and hardware-connected environments. The right candidate will bring strong hands-on engineering abilitytogether with sound judgment, clear communication, ownership, and a practical, solution-oriented mindset. This role is not defined by years of coding experience alone. We are looking for a well-roundedengineer who can use modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development andagentic workflows, while still demonstrating strong fundamentals, careful technical reasoning,and accountability for production outcomes. What you will do Design, develop, test, and maintain services and applications using the .NET ecosystem. Work across the stack, including backend services, Angular-based user interfaces, dataprocessing pipelines, APIs, and distributed systems. Troubleshoot complex software, infrastructure, and hardware-integration issues byinvestigating deeply, identifying root causes, and driving issues through resolution. Build and support reliable integrations using Kafka, Azure Service Bus, SQL Server, AzureTable Storage, and related data technologies. Deploy, operate, and improve containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes,including cloud-native environments where appropriate. Apply secure engineering practices across application design, APIs, data handling,deployment, and production support. Participate actively in design discussions, code reviews, stand-ups, incident follow-up, andother team working sessions. Explain technical decisions, constraints, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to both technical andcross-functional audiences. Take ownership of ambiguous problems and move initiatives forward without waiting for everytask to be explicitly assigned. Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve speed and quality while validatingoutputs and maintaining engineering standards. Required technical qualifications Strong professional experience with .NET, .NET Core, and modern C# development. Experience building and supporting production-grade APIs and distributed services. Practical experience with Angular and modern JavaScript or TypeScript-based frontenddevelopment. Experience with SQL Server and data persistence, querying, and troubleshooting. Experience with event-driven or asynchronous systems using Kafka and/or Azure ServiceBus. Experience with Azure Table Storage or comparable NoSQL/cloud storage services. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application delivery. Working knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices, including Azure DevOps or comparabletooling. Strong understanding of API security and general application security principles. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software and hardware integration issues in productionor operational environments. Preferred qualifications Fifteen or more years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent record of senior-levelimpact and technical ownership. Experience with mobile development. Experience supporting U.S.-based clients or teams and collaborating across time zones. Prior work involving operational technology, hardware integrations, telemetry, or otherdistributed field environments. Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, or coordinating work acrossteams. Working model Candidates may be considered from onshore, nearshore, or offshore locations. The role requiresdependable overlap with U.S.-based working hours and strong written and verbalcommunication across distributed teams.
