This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States About the role Transcend is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Workflows team. This team’s mission is to build both the core execution engine and the web-based configuration & monitoring surface for our workflows processes. Our workflows engine enables our customers to service customer data requests (Delete My Data, Do not Sell, etc.), enforce data minimization/data retention policies, and propagate user preferences to downstream systems. The ideal candidate is a player-coach engineering leader, someone who can manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment, and who is able to deep-dive into the stack when necessary. This is a remote, Exempt, Full Time position based in the United States. The successful candidate must have valid work authorization, as visa sponsorship is not available. What you'll do • Manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative culture and upholding high technical standards • Grow the team through hiring and nurturing engineering talent • Leverage your technical expertise in software engineering to guide the team in building robust and scalable solutions • Review & provide feedback for technical design docs and code changes • Collaborate with the product team to create and execute the product roadmap • Take on development tasks and debug production issues when necessary – this often involves diving into the details of infrastructure implementation, job systems, and full-stack features Who you are • You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering and are proficient in Javascript/Typescript • You have experience building full-stack products, with contribution to both frontend and backend • You have 2+ years of experience in managing or leading engineering teams with a record of shipping high-quality products in a fast-paced environment • You are an excellent technical communicator to a diverse group of audiences • You have a collaborative mindset and proven experience in working in cross-functional teams in a remote environment • You are passionate about privacy and eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization Compensation Information • Our comprehensive compensation packages play a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to bringing data rights to everyone. • The compensation pay range represents our reasonable expectation for this role. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, experience, education, skillset, and geographic location. • This specific range applies to Tier 1 labor markets like the SF Bay Area and New York City; it may be adjusted based on the labor market in other geographic areas and the individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
