Job Title: People Operations Generalist Department: Human Resources Reports To: Director of People Operations/Regional HR Manager Location: DFW Communities - Tradition Senior Living FLSA Status: Exempt ABOUT THE ROLE This is a hands-on HR role that splits time between supporting our DFW communities and owning key people operations functions, with payroll accuracy and compliance sitting at the top of the priority list. The right person for this role is just as comfortable coaching a manager through a performance conversation as they are tracking down a payroll discrepancy before a processing deadline. We need someone who is organized, dependable, people-focused, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves. PAYROLL SUPPORT This is a primary responsibility of the role, not an afterthought. • Support accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing across DFW communities. • Compile and validate payroll data from timekeeping systems and HR platforms before each cycle. • Track timesheets, flag discrepancies, and work with the People Operations Manager to resolve issues before processing. • Reconcile payroll reports and respond to employee payroll questions. • Maintain payroll and personnel records in compliance with company policy and applicable law. • Support payroll-related audits and government notices by pulling required documentation. HR COMMUNITY SUPPORT - DFW This role is a consistent HR presence across our DFW communities. Community leaders and employees should know who this person is and feel comfortable coming to them. • Make regular visits to DFW communities to stay connected with leadership and staff. • Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations when needed. • Guide managers through performance conversations, corrective action, and documentation. • Support onboarding, offboarding, and workforce planning. • Keep up with employment law requirements and make sure we stay compliant day to day. • Partner with leadership on hiring, promotions, and transfers. TRAINING & HR ADMINISTRATION • Identify training needs across communities and coordinate programs to address them. • Facilitate manager and employee training; track completion and follow up on effectiveness. • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook. • Keep HR data clean and current across systems. • Provide administrative support for HR initiatives and reporting. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR • 5+ years of HR experience with exposure to both business partnering and payroll operations. • Strong attention to detail, especially when working with payroll data and employee records. • Comfortable working across multiple locations in a fast-moving environment. • Solid knowledge of Texas employment law and wage-and-hour requirements. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard HR/payroll systems. • Bachelor's degree preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP a plus. • Senior living or healthcare experience is a plus but not required. The Tradition Senior Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or any other legally protected characteristic. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to these factors. We believe that diversity and inclusion among our employees are critical to our success as a company, and we seek to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool. #indtsl
