About the Position We are expanding our International Markets Analysis Team and seeking a talented Financial News Analyst/Editor to join us. In this remote, independent contractor (1099) role, you will collaborate with a global team to analyze, curate, and deliver critical news stories that move markets—from individual equities to broader macroeconomic trends. About the Candidate The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of financial market dynamics and a passion for interpreting fast-moving news. You excel under pressure, quickly identify emerging stories, and connect complex pieces of market information. Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate key insights clearly and concisely are essential. Key Skills • Business English proficiency. • Strong financial analysis abilities. • Comprehensive understanding of global financial markets. • Candidates with business-level Mandarin Chinese proficiency are strongly preferred. Position Details Employment Type: Full-time, remote contract (1099). Location: Remote - work from anywhere in the world. A quiet, dedicated workspace with a door is required. Shifts Available: Asian Shift: 4 PM – 2 AM EST (1 PM – 11 PM PDT). Benefits: Includes paid vacation and sick days. Compensation: Competitive rate commensurate with experience. Qualifications & Experience: • 0–3 years of experience (for Editor-Intern role); or 3–5 years of experience in financial markets or equities (for Market Analyst role), ideally as a Buy-Side or Sell-Side Trader. • Cross-asset class knowledge and an understanding of how news impacts various markets. • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Day-to-Day Responsibilities You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, continuously monitoring global markets and providing real-time analysis. Using proprietary tools and systems, you'll deliver timely news coverage and insights to help our clients stay ahead of market-moving events. Comprehensive initial training will be provided. Primary responsibilities include: • Producing written and audio commentaries on market behavior, economic data, and financial events. • Preparing research reports on central bank decisions, bond auctions, and major earnings announcements. • Monitoring economic trends across multiple asset classes, including equities, FX, commodities, and options. • Creating daily and weekly reports, such as opening news briefs, data previews, and market calendars.
