Who we're looking for Toyota's Onetech Manufacturing Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Application Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop, optimize, and support IT systems that manage and streamline parts logistics processes for North American Manufacturing sites. Reporting to the Manufacturing IT Parts Logistics Manager, this role supports the Manufacturing Products and Services department in optimizing, managing, and maintaining parts logistics systems that ensure the timely, accurate delivery of parts in optimal quantities, while upholding operational stability, real-time visibility, and cost-efficient logistics across manufacturing sites. This position is based in Liberty, NC. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location. What you'll be doing • Design, develop, and maintain IT applications that support manufacturing parts logistics, incorporating optimizations aligned with evolving business processes. • Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to minimize downtime and ensure data accuracy. • Implement system integrations and interfaces between logistics applications and other enterprise systems. • Monitor application performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience. • Support data analytics and reporting related to parts inventory, logistics KPIs, and supply chain performance. • Participate in software development lifecycle activities, including testing, deployment, and documentation. • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in manufacturing logistics IT. • Provide training and technical support to end-users as needed. What you bring • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT application support, development, or engineering within manufacturing or logistics environments. • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. • 3+ years of Project management experience • Strong, proven communication skills with the ability to deliver complex information concisely across cultures and organizational boundaries at multiple levels. • Willingness to travel up to 25%. Added bonus if you have • Understanding of manufacturing parts logistics workflows, inventory management, and supply chain principles • Proven experience in integrating IT applications with supply chain and logistics workflows • Understanding of system architecture, APIs, and middleware technologies • Toyota Manufacturing or Supply Chain experience is a plus..
