Details: • *Position Summary:** The Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of administrative and constituent service functions that are essential to the efficient operation of the Township Manager's Office. Responsibilities include handling sensitive information, coordinating public relations efforts, and serving as a liaison between the public, Township departments, and elected officials. Work is performed under the general direction of the Township Manager, with performance evaluated for adherence to Township policies and procedures. • *Key Responsibilities:** · Manage routine office operations, including screening correspondence, answering public inquiries, resolving complaints, and distributing information. · Draft and prepare administrative correspondence, memoranda, and formal statements. · Maintain departmental records including correspondence logs, complaint records, and confidential files requiring discretion in handling and release. · Compile and summarize reports for review by the Township Manager; gather and analyze data on assigned topics and prepare related reports. · Serve as the point of contact for online constituent complaints and service requests; coordinate responses with Department Heads. · Support public relations activities by providing routine information to the press and assisting with community relations efforts. · Maintain the Customer Response System, logging service requests, complaints, and information inquiries; generate periodic status reports. · Provide confidential administrative support to the Mayor and Council, including coordinating meetings, conferences, and appointments. · Prepare specifications for equipment and service purchases; monitor related budgets and expenditures. · Draft ordinances and resolutions as directed. · Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the departmental annual budget. • *Qualifications:** · High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. · Minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience supporting senior-level management in a professional environment; experience in municipal or government administration preferred. · Proficiency in Microsoft Word, MSI, Edmunds, and Primepoint are highly desired. • *Salary Range:** $47,695 – $77,955 annually.
