Inventory Lead – Multi-Location Cannabis Dispensary (North Carolina) Full-Time | Operations | Inventory Management | Compliance Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Inventory Lead to oversee inventory accuracy, compliance, and control across four cannabis dispensary locations in North Carolina. This role is critical to ensuring inventory integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational consistency in a highly regulated, multi-location cannabis environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience in inventory management, compliance, METRC reporting, and multi-unit retail operations. This is a professional role with high expectations, not a casual retail position. Key Responsibilities • Manage and maintain accurate, real-time cannabis inventory records across multiple North Carolina dispensary locations • Utilize METRC and POS systems to track all cannabis products, transfers, and inventory movement • Oversee compliant receiving, verification, and reconciliation of manifests and deliveries • Coordinate and execute inter-store transfers in accordance with North Carolina cannabis regulations • Perform daily cycle counts, weekly audits, and full inventory reconciliations • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shrinkage, and variances • Ensure proper product storage, labeling, security, and FIFO compliance • Enforce compliance with all North Carolina cannabis laws, regulations, and inventory controls • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support state inspections and internal audits • Develop, document, and enforce inventory SOPs across all locations • Train and hold dispensary staff accountable to inventory and compliance standards • Monitor product velocity, aging inventory, and category performance • Provide leadership with inventory reports, insights, and risk assessments Qualifications Required • 3+ years of experience in inventory management or supply chain • Experience working in a regulated industry (cannabis, pharmaceutical, alcohol, or similar) • Experience managing inventory across multiple locations • Strong working knowledge of inventory systems and POS platforms • A high attention to detail, organization, and accuracy • Strong compliance mindset and documentation discipline • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in secure environments • Must meet all North Carolina cannabis employment eligibility requirements Preferred • Prior North Carolina cannabis dispensary experience • Hands-on experience with METRC or a similar platform • Experience with cannabis inventory audits and compliance reporting • Background in multi-unit retail or regulated distribution environments • Experience training or auditing store-level teams Performance Expectations • Accurate inventory counts across all North Carolina locations • Zero preventable cannabis inventory compliance violations • Timely, error-free receiving, transfers, and reconciliations • Reduced shrinkage, discrepancies, and aged cannabis inventory • Consistent execution of inventory SOPs across all dispensaries Work Environment & Standards This role operates in a professional, corporate-style environment with strict compliance requirements.
