FT Remote Must be on the East Coast $130-200K based on experience Technically mentorship experience, AI Development, LLM, AI agents, agentic workflows, AI powered applications, Python, Typescript We are seeking a hands-on AI technical leader to lead the design and development of AI-powered applications and intelligent software solutions. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, experimenting, and turning emerging AI technologies into reliable, production-ready products. You will take ownership of major AI initiatives while helping define architecture, development standards, and modern engineering practices. The ideal candidate brings strong software engineering fundamentals, practical experience with generative AI and LLMs, and the ability to lead technical initiatives across product teams. What You'll Do • Lead the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered applications and intelligent software solutions. • Architect and build LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and agentic workflows. • Integrate AI capabilities into existing products and engineering processes. • Evaluate and implement AI models, tools, and frameworks based on business and technical requirements. • Develop scalable architectures for AI applications, including APIs, data pipelines, and supporting services. • Establish best practices for AI application development, testing, evaluation, and deployment. • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across AI and software development teams. • Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to identify practical AI opportunities. • Improve developer productivity through AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows. • Contribute to CI/CD, observability, security, and operational readiness for AI-powered applications. What We're Looking For • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong experience building production software. • Proven experience developing AI-powered applications, generative AI solutions, or LLM-based products. • Practical experience with agentic AI, AI agents, or LLM workflows. • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including architecture, APIs, testing, and deployment. • Experience with Python and/or TypeScript for AI application development. • Experience integrating AI models and services through APIs and modern AI frameworks. • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and production software systems. • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and influence architecture across teams. • Experience with Azure, C#, SQL, and Snowflake is a plus. • Experience with front-end development, React, or mobile applications is a plus.
