Perform daily and periodic cleaning tasks, maintain inventory, communicate issues, and assist with other maintenance duties as assigned.

Summary of position/Objective: To ensure all spaces are consistently clean, organized, and well-maintained, creating a healthy and professional work environment through attention to detail and reliable performance. Perform the day-to-day and periodic cleaning activities in assigned work areas. Basic responsibilities may include any combination of the following tasks: sanitizing public areas, restroom cleaning, spot cleaning (including wall washing), trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, spot buffing, sweeping, dust mopping, carpet spotting and window glass cleaning. The duties include, but are not limited to, the following: • Ensures safety procedures are properly followed. • Demonstrates leadership by setting work ethic standards that are shown by personal example. • Communicates effectively with internal customers. • Promptly reports any consumer concerns or issues to the Maintenance Supervisor. • Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor any staff issues witnessed while on cleaning assignments. • Assists with inventory control by performing inventory checks twice per week and provides the Maintenance Supervisor with a list of supplies and equipment to be ordered. • May work individually or as a team to complete cleaning assignments as scheduled. • Ensures Cleaning Checklists are complete and signed by staff. • May collect payments and provide receipts to consumers while on cleaning assignment, ensuring payment and copy of receipt are provided to the Maintenance Supervisor at the end of the day. • Assists in maintaining consumer files, ensuring Cleaning Checklists are available and replenishing copies of checklists as needed. • In some situations, the Cleaning Lead may be asked to perform a final walk-thru and checklist completion in absence of the Maintenance Manager. • Assist Maintenance and Construction Departments with other non-cleaning related tasks as necessary to fulfill Company obligations • Other duties may be assigned. Competencies/Qualifications/Education: • Effective communication skills. • Leadership skills. • Teamwork orientation. • Skills related to cleaning duties of the position. • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn computer programs for scheduling and timekeeping. Certificates/Licenses/Registration: The employee must provide and maintain a valid driver's license for the entire duration of their employment, and must be eligible for the agency’s vehicle insurance. Supervisory Responsibility: This role will not directly supervise employees. Work Hours: Hours vary depending on the needs of the organization. This may include, but is not limited to days, nights, weekends and holidays. This position requires hours that exceed a typical 8-hour work day as needed. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Physical Demand: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee at all times to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • While performing these duties the employee is frequently required to speak and hear. • While performing these duties, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. • The employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time. • The employee is frequently required to reach, climb, bend, squat, stoop and kneel. • The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp and use tools and climb ladders. • The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally the employee will lift or move up to 80 pounds. • The employees will frequently push or pull items such as tables, scaffolds, and air compressors. • Specific vision requirements include close and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. This position requires the employee to have the ability to move around on a job site that does not have level clean surfaces. This position requires the employee to be able to drive a vehicle. Travel: Frequent travel within a 25-mile radius is expected for this position. Occasionally travel beyond a 25-mile radius may be required, including out of state travel.
