## Key Role Overview The Vendor Trade Compliance Specialist supports TJX Europe's supply chain by partnering with Buying, Logistics, 3rd-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and a large vendor community to enable timely and compliant flow of goods. The role focuses on vendor onboarding and education, monitoring shipments and disruptions, reporting, and driving improvements in vendor performance to support purchase order flow and cost mitigation initiatives. This is a hybrid role based in New York City requiring regular in-office presence. ## Key Responsibilities - Act as the liaison between Buying, Vendors, and local support teams (including Merchandise Operations), translating complex logistics into clear, actionable guidance and updates. - Monitor shipment disruptions, prioritize shipments and key deals, and execute reporting to maintain purchase order flow. - Onboard vendors to ensure compliance with TJX Europe requirements and deliver logistics refreshers on lead times and roles. - Partner with buying teams and cross-functional stakeholders to proactively drive vendor behavior improvements and support cost mitigation activities and initiatives. - Facilitate workshops and training with Freight Forwarders to upskill them on systems and address vendor shipping challenges. - Maintain relationships within the TJX Europe supply chain network and with Freight Forwarder partners to enable cross-functional support. - Work closely with Logistics Contact Center teams to support timely and quality responses to vendors. ## Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role (e.g., Merchandise Assistant, Buying Assistant, or similar). - Established Excel skills and the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and convert findings into relevant information. - Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain impactful relationships across diverse teams, geographies, and levels. - Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and adapting to a flexible, changing retail environment. - Resilient and patient in coaching cross-functional partners to achieve results. ## Preferred Qualifications (if any) - Experience working with 3rd-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, or logistics systems. - Prior exposure to cost mitigation projects or vendor performance improvement initiatives. - Familiarity with reporting tools used to prioritize shipments and analyze business areas. ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: $63,000.00 to $78,800.00 per year. - Benefits include associate discount; 401(k) match; medical/dental/vision; HSA; health care FSA; life insurance; short- and long-term disability. - Paid time off and leave benefits: paid holidays, vacation, sick, bereavement, and parental leave. - Additional programs: Employee Assistance Program (EAP); management incentive programs; auto/home insurance discounts; tuition reimbursement; scholarship program; adoption/surrogacy assistance; smoking cessation; child care/cell phone discounts; pet/legal insurance; credit union; referral bonuses. ## Additional Information - Work arrangement: Hybrid role requiring two or more days per week in the New York City office; not open to remote. - Office location/address: USA Buying Office, 1065 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY. - Actual starting pay is determined by factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. - TJX is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable law.
