Full Job Description A fast paced pediatric dental office in the heart of Columiba, MD is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist with long term career goals to join our wonderful team in a fun and professional environment. Must love children and work well in a team environment. We are a great team of professionals who are looking for someone with strong communication skills, who is highly organized, self-motivated, and has a positive attitude with a true desire to serve the needs of our patients. This is a full time position and while our schedule is subject to change, below is an overview of our weekly schedule. Please note we DO work on school holidays (i.e. spring break, winter break.) Candidate MUST have the following qualifications: • Love working with children • Able to multi-task • Dependable and detail oriented • Enthusiastic team player • Excellent command of both written and verbal English with good communication skills • Computer skills required • Dental experience as well as dental software knowledge is preferred however, we are willing to train the right candidate with excellent customer service. Position Accountabilities/Duties Responsible for excellent customer service and overall care of patients Answering phone lines, checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, and all other front desk office duties. Presenting treatment plans and explaining treatment to answer any questions parents may have. Submitting pre-treatment authorizations for complex cases. Insurance duties including but not limited to: • Verification and detailed insurance benefit breakdowns. • Entering coverage books for each patient. • Understanding and appealing denied and problematic claims. • Checking the status of overdue claims and insurance problems. • All insurance related monthly reports.
