Job Responsibili ties: Innovation Strategy & Engineering Lead • ership Define and execute an AI-focused innovation strategy aligning technology with business and financial • goals.Drive adoption across the organization of emerging technologies and AI/ML to enhance technological capabilities, business systems, and personali • zation.Lead architecture of flexible, extensible solutions; hands-on oversight of .NET (C#) platforms and Azure-native services. Learning and Content • Systems In partnership with Product, incrementally improve LMS architecture and admini • stration.Lead ongoing development of AI-driven CMS in collaboration with content/curriculum team, supporting structured academic content creation for grades • PreK-12.Ensure legacy content is refactored into reusable formats that support omnichannel publishing and persona • lization.Partner with content/curriculum teams to maintain a robust taxonomy and metadata schema for all data, and develop models that support academic s tandards. E-commerce and Busine • ss Systems Oversee the ongoing enhancements of an e-commerce platform with theme-based storefront (Shopify) for marketing and selling purposes that supports customized digital marketing, sales, and renewal • experiencesPartner with Marketing and Product staff and external Shopify developers to build end-to-end customer experiences aligned with key busi • ness goals.Own the end-to-end subscription and renewal architecture across Shopify and the subscription app/systems stack, ensuring reliable customer experiences, accurate financial reconciliation and measurable SLAs for retention-impa • cting flow.Provide technical oversight and leadership for the entire enterprise system and collaborate with shared services on security and privacy re quirements. Workflow Optimization & • ; Operations Collaborate with other R&D leaders to design and implement workflows that create efficiencies for staff members, and foster a culture of experimentation and continuous • improvement.Ensure operational excellence through process optimization/automation, resource management, data-driven decision-making, and tool integration, leveraging foundational practices in SAFe and modern AI/automa • tion tooling.Advocate for quality by ensuring tools and workflows meet business, pedagogical, and p roduct needs. Leadersh • ip Competencies: Leadership Presence: Ability to comfortably interact with executives and investors, and present to a wide range of audiences including internal staff, T4L/Cambium leadership, and executive-le • vel stakeholders.Compliance & Security: Act as the enterprise-level leader for enacting a strong security and compliance stance in alignment with requireme • nts from Cambium.Risk & Resilience: Experience establishing and maintaining crisis management processes and large-scale • outage handling.Stakeholder Navigation: Strong experience managing up to executives and navigating challenging internal and external decision-making. • Job Requirements: BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science, cognitive science, • or a related field.10+ years of experience in enterprise engineering leadership, including large-scale launches, outage management, compliance oversight, and executiv • e-level engagement.Ability to leverage AI/ML to automate, accelerate, and amplify business outcomes and present ROI to exec • utive stakeholders.Experience with LMS’s, headless CMS’s, authoring tools, business/financial systems, platform management, a • nd cloud computing.Strong understanding of data modeling, content taxonomy, and • metadata standards.Demonstrated success in integrating emerging technologies into business and product workflows and creating structure and scalability through tools, sys • tems, and processesExcellent communication and leadership presence with ability to navigate stakeholder expectations and influence • business decisions.Servant leadership mindset with proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive cross-func • tional initiatives.Remote-first, but must be able to travel 2–3 times per year for conferences an d/or team meetings.
