Taza Construction DBA Tiles In Style, LLC – South Holland, IL Job Title: Construction Project Manager Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday–Friday Work Location: Multiple project sites across Illinois Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all phases of assigned projects — from bidding and preconstruction through completion and closeout — with a focus on maintaining project controls, timelines, and budgets. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the bidding, preconstruction, construction, and project closeout phases with a strong emphasis on project controls, timely delivery, and quality assurance. • Negotiate, coordinate, schedule, and direct the work of subcontractors, inspectors, and other project partners. • Allocate resources efficiently and manage staff and time to meet company and project objectives. • Build and maintain strong relationships within the construction community to gather market intelligence and identify opportunities. • Foster positive relationships with subcontractors and internal team members to promote a collaborative, productive work environment. • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including weekly status reports and Microsoft Project schedules. • Ensure compliance with project management documentation standards and reporting protocols. • Report directly to the Director of Operations. Professional Requirements: • Strong understanding of construction processes, legal requirements, and architectural design standards. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and efficiency. • Skilled in cost control, budget preparation, and feasibility analysis. • Experienced in reviewing RFPs, facilitating bids and negotiations, and managing change orders. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop actionable plans, assess market trends, and adapt strategies to changing conditions. • Oversee warranty and service call management. • Obtain and coordinate necessary zoning, construction, and occupancy permits. • Represent the company at pre-bid, client, and municipal meetings as needed. • Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with specifications, contracts, and industry standards. • Maintain accurate project records, including scope, cost, and schedule variances, delays, inspections, and milestone achievements. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred). • Minimum 4+ years of experience in construction project management, with a strong track record managing complex, fast-paced, or phased project delivery. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software (Primavera). • LEED accreditation is a plus. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Projects, Excel, Teams). • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Additional Requirements: • Willingness to travel across Illinois up to 95% of the time (occasional overnight stays). • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as project needs require.) • Communicate expectations and project updates effectively to all stakeholders. • Provide timely reporting of issues impacting cost, schedule, or project performance. • Develop and maintain a qualified pool of suppliers and subcontractors. • Oversee estimators in preparing bids, qualifying proposals, and negotiating subcontractor pricing.
