Role Overview: As a Principal Data Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using Azure and Databricks platforms. You will play a critical role in driving data strategy, mentoring teams, and delivering high-impact analytics projects that empower our clients to make data-driven decisions. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and architectures on Azure and Databricks. - You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. - You will lead the integration of diverse data sources ensuring data quality, security, and governance. - You will mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. - You will implement best practices for data engineering, including automation, testing, and monitoring. - You will contribute to the development of data strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals. - You will troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues to ensure system reliability and performance. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems. What You Bring: - Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Azure and Databricks. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL. - Deep understanding of cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and big data technologies. - Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and real-time data processing. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with machine learning pipelines and AI integration. - Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering. - Familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS or GCP. - Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
