Role Overview: As a Principal Data Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using Azure and Databricks platforms. You will play a critical role in driving data strategy, mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient data pipelines that support advanced analytics and AI initiatives. What You'll Do: - You will architect and develop robust data pipelines and ETL processes on Azure and Databricks. - You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - You will lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering best practices and continuous learning. - You will optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability. - You will implement data governance, security, and compliance standards across data platforms. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance data infrastructure. - You will participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall data architecture roadmap. What You Bring: - You have 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 4 years working extensively on Azure and Databricks. - You possess strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and Spark. - You have deep knowledge of cloud data platforms, data warehousing, and big data technologies. - You demonstrate experience in designing scalable ETL pipelines and data integration solutions. - You have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. - You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with machine learning pipelines and MLOps. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering. - Knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance. - Advanced certifications in Azure or Databricks platforms.
