Role Overview: As a Lead Data Engineer specializing in Azure, you will spearhead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and architectures. Your role is critical in enabling data-driven decision-making by ensuring robust, efficient, and secure data infrastructure. What You'll Do: - You will lead the development and maintenance of end-to-end data pipelines on Azure platforms. - You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - You will design and optimize data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and other cloud services. - You will implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices. - You will mentor and guide junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence. - You will monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure high availability and performance. - You will stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends to drive innovation. - You will contribute to architectural decisions and strategic planning for data infrastructure. What You Bring: - 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Azure cloud services. - Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake. - Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with ETL frameworks. - Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies. - Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with machine learning pipelines and integration with Azure ML. - Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering. - Prior experience working in a consulting or client-facing role.
