Role Overview: As a Lead Data Engineer specializing in Azure, you will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data solutions that empower our clients to harness the full potential of their data assets. You will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient data pipelines and architectures. What You'll Do: - You will lead the end-to-end development of data engineering projects on Azure cloud platforms. - You will design and implement scalable, secure, and robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure services. - You will mentor and guide junior data engineers to foster technical growth and best practices. - You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. - You will optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. - You will ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met across all projects. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative tools and approaches. - You will contribute to architectural decisions and help define data engineering standards. What You Bring: - 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud technologies. - Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and related Azure services. - Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or SQL. - Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka. - Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring engineering teams. - Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with machine learning pipelines and MLOps on Azure. - Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering. - Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or related fields.
