Event and Marketing Coordinator for the Tigard Area Chamber of Commerce Tigard, OR | Full Time In-Person Position Are you highly organized, people-oriented, and energized by creating great events? The Tigard Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Event and Marketing Coordinator to support Chamber events, member services, and daily operations. This is a public-facing role ideal for someone who excels at organization, time management, follow-up, and teamwork all while bringing a positive, fun, and upbeat attitude to everything they do. Key Responsibilities Events & Programming • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing Chamber events and programs • Work closely with Chamber staff, Board members, City partners, Ambassadors, and volunteers • Support event logistics including registrations, materials, on-site coordination, and follow-up • Attend and support weekly Thursday morning networking events, after hours events, and annual events. Administrative & Member Support • Serve as a primary point of contact for phone, email, walk-in, and digital inquiries • Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and internal coordination • Prepare event reports and assist with post-event analysis as requested by the CEO Visitor Center & Community Engagement • Manage on-site and digital Visitor Center operations, including restocking, ordering, and organization • Respond to visitor and community inquiries with professionalism and warmth Marketing & Communications Support • Assist with Canva templates and light graphic editing for events and promotions • Support email communications and social media efforts weekly Qualifications & Skills • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent time management and follow-through • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities • Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with the public • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Positive attitude and flexibility in a dynamic environment Technology Skills • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Experience with Canva • Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and social media platforms • Experience with Constant Contact or similar email platforms a plus • Comfort with mobile technology and learning new software Work Environment & Physical Requirements • In-person, public-facing position based at the Tigard Chamber office • Light local travel to Chamber events; occasional annual travel for conferences • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds • Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout events and office hours • Ability to climb stairs (office located on the second floor; no elevator) Why Work With Us?
