Full Description

Description: • Direct the implementation of a scalable analytics strategy that aligns with enterprise objectives and IT architecture standards. • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Data Engineers, encouraging collaboration, skill enhancement, and optimal performance. • Engage with business stakeholders to convert requirements into actionable data solutions, comprehensive dashboards, and effective decision-support tools. • Supervise and optimize the data pipeline lifecycle—including ingestion, transformation, storage, and visualization—while maintaining high standards of data quality and system performance. • Develop and sustain robust data models to enable scalable self-service analytics and advanced organizational reporting. • Establish and uphold rigorous data governance and standardization protocols. • Act as a subject matter expert in key analytics technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, and Snowflake. • Advocate for data-driven innovation, operational efficiency, and business value throughout all departments. • Continuously research, assess, and implement emerging analytics platforms and methodologies to enhance overall platform capabilities. • Contribute expertise to strategic projects and serve as the lead for analytics on cross-functional initiatives. • Identify and advance opportunities for automation in reporting and analytics workflows. • Integrate new technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs), into analytics solutions to expand capabilities and foster innovation. • Promote a culture of experimentation, ongoing improvement, and learning within the TIG Business Intelligence community. This position is located in Iowa, Illinois, or Remote. Requirements: Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields. • At least 7 years in analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence, including at least 2 years in leadership. • At least 7 years with databases such as Oracle MySQL and SQL Server. Competencies/Skills • Experienced in data modeling, warehouse architecture, and business intelligence tools. • Effective team and project manager in cross-functional environments. • Adaptable to changing priorities and uncertainty. • Excellent communicator, able to present and explain complex issues clearly. • Knowledgeable about data quality frameworks and governance best practices. • Experienced in designing and implementing ELT/ETL pipelines on cloud platforms. • Familiar with agile methodologies and collaborative project management tools. • Capable of aligning analytics with business goals, including performance metrics and KPIs. • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
