Frontend / Digital Experience Developer (WordPress + JavaScript) 5421 Location: Remote (CST or EST time zones) Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time (FTE) Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 annually Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only Tier4 Group is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join a collaborative team focused on building engaging digital experiences, custom websites, and web applications. This role combines modern frontend development with advanced WordPress engineering, offering the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects ranging from interactive marketing websites to full-scale web applications. You will partner closely with UX/UI designers, backend developers, project managers, and technical leaders to deliver scalable, accessible, and high-performing digital solutions. Key Responsibilities • Convert design concepts, wireframes, and mockups into responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect user experiences. • Build dynamic user interfaces and single-page applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue.js. • Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch without relying on page builders. • Create, maintain, and enhance custom WordPress plugins to support client-specific business requirements. • Leverage the WordPress REST API to build headless, decoupled, and API-driven solutions. • Develop reusable components, modules, and tools that improve application scalability and maintainability. • Integrate third-party services and APIs, including CRM platforms, analytics tools, eCommerce systems, mapping services, and other business applications. • Optimize websites and web applications for performance, accessibility, SEO, security, and scalability. • Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards, best practices, and architectural decisions. • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve frontend and WordPress-related challenges. Required Qualifications • 3+ years of professional frontend/web development experience. • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+). • Hands-on experience with React, Vue.js, or comparable component-based frameworks. • Advanced WordPress development experience, including: • Custom theme development • Custom plugin development and maintenance • WordPress REST API • Custom post types and taxonomies • Strong experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs. • Experience using Git and modern version control workflows. • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred / Standout Skills Candidates with any of the following experience will stand out: • Headless or decoupled WordPress architectures. • React Native or mobile application development. • WordPress performance optimization, security, and caching expertise. • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG). • Experience with Tailwind CSS or other utility-first CSS frameworks. • Advanced third-party API integrations. • Experience working within a digital agency or consulting environment managing multiple concurrent projects. • Website and application performance optimization expertise.
