About the role: We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Product Manager to be responsible for the strategic development and enhancement of TiDB Cloud Dedicated, a cutting-edge product designed to meet the needs of enterprise customers. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the product's roadmap, prioritizing innovative features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a world-class cloud database management solution. Responsibilities: Strategy and Vision: Develop the strategic roadmap for TiDB Cloud Dedicated, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs and TiDB Cloud product strategy, while continuously refining the product through user feedback, market analysis, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Feature Prioritization and Innovation: Identify, prioritize, and deliver features that enhance TiDB Cloud Dedicated product capability in terms of scalability, reliability and operational excellence to meet the requirements of enterprise customers and drive TiDB Cloud evolution. Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, presales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure seamless product development, successful feature releases, and alignment across all stakeholders. Product Marketing and Promotion: Create compelling product-related materials, including presentations, case studies, and documentation, to support marketing and sales efforts, while driving product strategy and positioning in the market. Customer-Centric Development: Establish and maintain a robust feedback loop with customers to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement, translating customer needs into actionable product enhancements and deliverables. Industry Awareness: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying these insights to enhance our products. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus. 10+ years of product management-related experience in enterprise software, database management, or cloud computing industry, with a proven track record of launching and managing complex, enterprise-grade products. Strong technical background with familiarity in cloud platforms and database management systems, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams and understanding of technical trade-offs. Experience in Open API design is a plus. Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate efficiently with internal teams and external clients. Passion for tackling ambiguous challenges and driving solutions to unowned problems. Salary Range: The annual anticipated base salary range for U.S. candidates for this role is USD $200,000 to $230,000K. Four zones are applied with different levels of the pay range. More details of the Geo Differential Pay Policy will be discussed during the HR conversation. The actual individual base pay will depend on various factors such as the complexity and responsibility of the role, work locations, job levels, and relevant experience and skills. This role is also eligible to participate in TiDB's Bonus and Equity Plan, as well as our Sales Compensation Plan if it is a sales role.
