About the role Tidal Financial Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Coordinator to join our team as a co-op student from Northeastern University. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business development and support our team in driving growth and building strong client relationships. What you'll do Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize meetings for the business development team, ensuring all logistical details are managed efficiently. Follow-Up Communication: Send follow-up emails and communications after meetings to ensure ongoing engagement with clients and prospects. Note-Taking: Attend meetings and take detailed notes, summarizing key points and action items for distribution to relevant stakeholders. Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities, providing insights to the business development team. Database Management: Maintain and update client and prospect databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information. Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals, and other business development materials. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the business development team, including managing calendars, handling correspondence, and organizing files. Event Planning: Assist in planning and coordinating business development events, including client meetings, conferences, and networking events. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a co-op program at Northeastern University, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Detail-oriented with strong note-taking and documentation skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Previous experience in a business development or administrative support role is a plus.
