Position Summary: TI Verbatim Consulting, Inc. (TIVC) is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to support the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) Communications Directorate. This role provides strategic, tactical, and operational communications support with an enhanced emphasis on social media planning, execution, engagement, and analytics. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the development, execution, and annual update of Navy Medicine’s Strategic Communications Plan, informed by weekly stakeholder engagement, independent research, and data analysis. • Manage and provide quarterly updates to the strategic communications strategy and action plan. • Collect, organize, and maintain command messaging (e.g., BUMED Playbook) and coordinate updates with Subject Matter Experts. • Support development and execution of approved social media strategies in alignment with Navy Medicine priorities and Public Affairs standards. • Monitor social media protocols, branding, and engagement across platforms. • Plan, schedule, publish, and manage social media content calendars across approved platforms. • Apply effective engagement techniques including hashtag strategy, platform-specific content tailoring, audience targeting, and timing optimization. • Use media monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., Meltwater) to track social media and communications performance. • Produce a minimum of eight (8) social media analytics reports annually and brief key stakeholders on findings, trends, and recommendations. • Compile and analyze communication metrics to support leadership decision-making. • Organize and support a minimum of five (5) strategic communications meetings or events annually, including drafting related products (e.g., press releases, meeting summaries). • Assist in the planning, development, and marketing of communication products. • Prepare monthly progress reports and trip reports, as required by the PWS. • Perform services both onsite and offsite, as directed by TIVC management and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). • Other duties as assigned in support of the Communications Directorate. Education: • Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. • Master’s degree preferred. Experience: • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a strategic communications role. • Demonstrated experience managing organizational social media accounts and analytics. • Prior DoD military, civilian, or contractor communications experience preferred. Knowledge and Skills: • Familiarity with social media planning, posting, engagement strategies, and analytics. • Experience using media monitoring and analytics platforms such as Meltwater. • Ability to translate analytics into actionable insights and recommendations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and major social media platforms. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Working knowledge of military or government communications environments. • Knowledge of emerging communication technologies and trends. • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deliverable timelines. Security and Compliance Requirements: • U.S. citizenship required. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 3 / IT-II background investigation. • Compliance with all BUMED, DoD, and Public Affairs standards. Physical Requirements: • Office Work 100%. • Sitting, standing, bending, walking, 8 hours per day. • Able to lift 20 lbs.
